Online Invoicing started

What is 'Pay by Link'?
Pay by Link is an encrypted Internet link that you send to your customer, client, and donator inside an email. It contains the necessary payment information like the customer name, the payment description and an amount. When the recipient of the link clicks it, s/he will forward to a secure payment page, where credit card credentials or eCheck information are entered and the payment can performed.

Why shall I use Pay-by-Link?
Online Invoicing makes it much easier for your customer to pay bills. Most invoices today are delivered electronically. With our Paycent service, you get paid by a simple click to a link. You will get your money earlier and your customer does not have either to write and send a check or call you with credit card information for payment.

How does it work?
You sign up to our service. Usually we charge 10 cent per link. After the activation of your Paycent account, we complimentarily load the account with $5.00. Then you can create payment links, copy and paste them into the email to your customer.

Are there any prerequisites necessary?
You have to have a Merchant Account that uses authorize.net as the payment gateway. Most merchant accounts i.e. from Wells Fargo, Chase PaymentTech, United BankCard are using authorize.net. Alternatively you can use your PayPal or Google Checkout account as well. More payment gateways and merchant accounts are in preparation.

Is it secure?
Yes it is. The payment link is encrypted. It is quite impossible that it gets tampered. We never ask your customers for any credit card credentials. Those are entered only at the secure website of the payment provider.

Can you show me a Paycent link?
Sure. This is the AES encrypted link: wLrvP9H30C2otSY2ZBW*bh49Blx3u2MFc2*

It contains the customer name, your paycent id, the invoice number and description, the invoice amount plus some security features.

Can I use it with printed invoices?
Yes, you can. Still it is quite error prone that your customer enters the link in an Internet browser manually, we provide you with a so called QR-Code. This is a small image containing the same information as the link. When this image is scanned or photographed i.e. by an IPhone, you can click at it and you are forwarded to the payment page. This is an example of the QR-Code.
